Wt?

Yes, it is possible just follow these gentle tips to inner bliss….while on the go.

Breathe

If you are in a situation where your resident is getting upset try breathing and using the Tonglen technique.

It is an ancient Buddhist practice where you breathe in the persons suffering and then breathe out comfort and compassion towards them. More explanation here

Relax before you start your shift.

On the way to work breathe in deep 3-5 times. Also, visualize yourself feeling serene just when you wake up – when your brain is most relaxed.

Have a goal for your shift

For example - I will be patient today with resident xxx or I will not snap at my buddy or student.

Get fresh

Have your break outside – get some fresh air and new scenery. Stretch your eyes to the horizon and then soften using the above techniques before you enter the building.
